Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better known as Ari Lennox, is an American artist and performer from Washington, D.C., who was the first female to join J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. The first single, Pho was released on the 21st of October, 2016 was released on Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn recognition. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It came out in May 2019. Ari Lennox uploaded her first music on the internet in 2012. Her first album was Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. The singer continued uploading her music on the internet in 2014 and released her own single Bound. In July of 2015, she appeared on Omen's album Elephant Eyes on the track Sweat It Out. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's references. In the following period, she released music that was circulating through Dreamville. Her contract was signed officially by Dreamville Records on 8 December. In the release album Revenge of the Dreamers II, she appeared on the track Backseat, along with Cozz. On the 21st of October in 2016, she debuted her first EP named Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's hit song Change in 2017 and also as an opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. She also appeared on the track Nothing but the Best by EarthGang and Icarus together with Bas the label's co-founders. Ari Lennox's album debut Shea Butter Baby was released on the 16th July of this year. The debut single, called Whipped Cream of the album dropped on October 5, 2018, with the music video. In November, she dropped two additional singles called 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. In November, she released 13 two new singles called The No One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released on her debut single, the 26th of February, 2019, for the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby performed with Cole on Creed II's sound track. Creed II sound track on November 16. The track was supported by the music video which debuted on February 20, 2019, which it surpassed 3 million views on YouTube within its first seven days. She was the supporting act for 6LACK in the From East Atlanta With Love Tour during December 2018.
